HOW WE RAISE OUR PUPPIES
  How We Raise Our Puppies

Here at Lifestyle we don't believe in breeding sub quality pups just to meet a demand for puppies. Each litter is a huge commitment and has to be given careful consideration. The parents and pedigrees are carefully studied  and each one must be evaluated. You breed what you think is the best to the best, and then hope for the best!

We raise our puppies in our home in "The Puppy Room".  Each pup gets so much "tender loving care" and individual attention from us until they are ready to "head off to their new life."

At Lifestyle, we have adopted the Bio Sensor method to start our new pups off in life. The "Bio Sensor" program was also concerned with early neurological stimulation in order to give the dog a superior advantage. Its development utilized six exercises, which were designed to stimulate the neurological system. Each workout involved handling puppies once each day. The workouts required handling them one at a time while performing a series of five exercises. You can read more about the

The pups are introduced to collar and leash. They are all given litter collars when they are born in order to keep track of their weight and early neurological stimulation exercises. Later these are replace with a heavier nylon collar. They get to drag around leashes to get used to the slight pull. Pups experience things like first bath.and Nail clipping. Ear cleaning The pups are introduced to Crates at an early age. Open Crates are put in the puppy room. Small food dishes are put in the crates at times to form a pleasant impression. Later the pups are taken for several short rides in the crates to get used to the sound, movement and being away from mom.

The pups have  their tails and dewclaws removed when they are 3-5 days old.
Their ears are cropped (show crop) when they are 7-8 weeks old.  Ear  re-taping is done every 5 days and continues until they leave. They are wormed begriming at two weeks then every two weeks until 8 weeks.  Parvo Virus immunization vaccines beginning at 5 weeks and is given again at 7 weeks then First set of shots are at eight weeks.  They go to my Florida licensed veterinarian prior to when they are ready to leave Lifestyle where they get vaccines, fecal check and are issued their Health Certificates.

The litter is photographed individually to help evaluate structure. The pups may often participate in a Puppy Aptitude Test to help evaluate a puppy's future personality, and better place each puppy in the appropriate home.

Our puppies have a large play area which has lot squeakie and cuddly toys, balls, Kongs and other types of toys that are hanging from above. along with tunnels and boxes that have different textures for them to explore.

Once our puppies leave us they have had plenty of love, great care and socialization to get them off to a great start........now, it's time for their new families to continue where we left off!
